Not all beaches are the same. There are some beaches that stand out from the rest. We’ve made a list of some of the most unique beaches in the world. After seeing this, you’ll probably wish to take a swim. These are the 7 most unique beaches in the world.
1. Glass Beach
Nature
corrected another of our mistakes. This place along the coastline of
MacKerricher State Park in California used to be a public dump place
after the Second World War. In 1960s they cleared this beach and in time
the sea waves have washed away the glass parts making them into smooth,
small, rounded objects that look like beautiful transparent stones.
2. Inland Beach
Also known as Gulpiyuri is located in Spain. This beautiful beach is inland and that’s why it’s unique. Even though it is long way away from see, waves lap the shore of this incredible beach.
3. The World’s Most Crowded Beach
This beach is situated on Huiquan Bay in
Qingdao, Shandong Province. It is considered to be number one bathing
beach that’s why it got the name Huiquan Bathing Beach. It is the reason
it’s so crowded even in winter.
4. Airport Beach
The beach of Traigh Mhor, on Barra Island, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland is the only beach that is in fact an airport. If you want to land onto Barra Airport you’ll have to book a ticket with British Airways.
5. Hot Water Beach
This geothermal attraction in New Zeland
attracts over 130,000 visitors every year. The water temperature is
64ºC (147ºF). If you want the ultimate hot bath, this is the place to
visit!
6. Red Sand Beach
The sand is red due to a nearby cinder
cone hill surrounding the bay. It is located south of Hana Bay and it is
the perfect for nudist as it is secluded.
7. Green Sand Beach
Have you ever heard of a beach that has green sand?
Papakolea Beach with green sand is located at the Island of Hawaii.
There are only two such beaches in the whole world. It is green due to
olivine crystals found in a nearby cinder cone.
