10 Unpleasant Creatures We Fell In Love With Through Cartoons

All those in favor of cartoon films and animated movies please raise your hands and say AI! Animated films specially are my favorite category simply for the reason that they are so adorable. The character portrayal, the over all depiction, and the story lines are mushy cute. There are so many creatures in cartoon films as well as in animated films such as the super hit WALL-E, the block buster SHREK, and the amazingly successful DESPICABLE ME, that seem so cute in the movie however they might seem pretty revolting, ugly, hateful, dangerous, and horrifying in real life. Well that is the thing about cartoons, they just make you fall in love with the tiniest of smallest of little things that just stick to your heart. This lists honors all such tiny creatures that became dear to us via cartoon films and animated series.

10. GHOSTS- CASPER

Casper was perhaps the only movie that made ghosts a lovable idea for kids and not something that they should be scared of. The best thing about this little ghost was that it taught all the kids quite a number of lessons as well. Again, reminding them that all ghosts are not bad and good ones make the bad ones go away. The cartoon was later converted into a movie as well which received a lot of appreciation.

9. RATS- RATATOUILLE

Even here and now if someone creeps up to you and slightly pushes you with the words RAT coming out of their mouth, you will surely jump a mile high in the air out of pure fright. Again, the movie RATATOUILLE changed the opinion of a lot of people towards rats. Those that used to think that rats are disgusting creatures do not think that foul of them now. The rat int he movie showed how i is possible for rats and human beings to be friends. It is sweet how a little thing goes such a long way.

8. SKUNKS- LOONEY TUNES

Ok now this one is worth a hearty laugh. Remember the looney tunes and how the skunks used to annoy the hell out of us but that too in an adorable fashion. they might have looked creepy and sneaky at some points in the movie but the intention was always innocent and a little but romantic I must admit. The shameless pursuit of the cats is charming in its own way now isn’t it?

7. SPIDERS- CHARLOTTE’S WEB

Spiders! One of the most horrifying creatures roaming planet earth in my opinion and I myself am hugely afraid of them. I guess I should be using past tense now since after I sw how the sweet spider helped Wilbur in the animated cartoon Charlotte’s web, my entire perspective took a 360 degrees turn.

6. DEAD DOG- CORPSE BRIDE

The thought of a walking talking dead dog might give you the spine chilling feeling but trust me, the cute little dead dog consisted entirely of bones in the move corpse bride is the exact opposite of the scary looking image that you might have in your mind. You have to see it to believe it.

5. ANTS- A BUG’S LIFE

Remember how you fell in love with the little minions in despicable me. Well let me assure you that after you have seen this movie you will pick up all the cans of bug killing sprays from your house and throw them away. The tiny little ants have been portrayed in such a heart warming way that you won’t be able to refrain from adoring them. The minute little things look so bright and colorful in this movie.

4. CATERPILLARS- A BUG’S LIFE

The same that goes for ants can be said for caterpillars, as far as the movie A BUGS LIFE goes. Little people have the actual experience of looking at a caterpillar although we have all seen colorful butterflies. People generally believe that caterpillars are the ugly half of butterflies where, yet again, the movie succeeds at changing your perspective. The little creature is called Heimlich and at the end it winds hearts.

3. OGRES- SHREK

SHREK is the proof that all bad-looking creatures are not always bad by nature. Even in the SHREK you might despise him int he beginning but you will not be able to help liking him near the end.

2. SNAKES- KUNG FU PANDA

Ok so Viper from Kun fu Panda lands itself the second spot on this list of mine purely for the reason that despite being the name sake of the most deadliest snake on earth, it captures the hearts of the audience all young and old, so much so that they end up cheering his victory over its enemies. This is a real victory since snakes are one of the most feared reptile species that roam the earth. It still does not mean that actual real life snakes are no danger anymore. The is a warning of danger, that despite the cute viper in the animated cartoon being totally harmless, it is not so in real life So please be careful children.

1. COCKROACHES- WALL-E

Ok so it might seem that I am overly obsessed with the Minions and would have given anything to include them in this list of mine but oh well. What I was actually trying to say was that after the cuddly little minions if there is any animated creature that I personally find adorable, it is the little cockroach from WALL-E. I am hell afraid of cockroaches but this movie makes them look like tiny bunny rabbits all innocent and harmless. Please do not get carried away people the actual roaches still are disgusting little beasts, but this little cupcake of an animal is the cutest little thing on the planet. The way it stays alongside Wall-e is totally sweet. I would also like this opportunity to state that if you still haven’t had a chance to see Wall-E, do it as soon as possible and you will find out just why it is called the most beautiful romantic animated stories of all times!
