Born in Sydney and raised in Brisbane, Australia, Miranda Kerr kick-started her modeling career in her early teens. Spurred on by the encouragement of her family and friends, Miranda fortuitously decided to enter the Dolly/Impulse Modeling Competition in 1997 when she was just 13 years old. Born on September 4, 1981, to a loving family in Houston, Texas, Beyonce Giselle Knowles showed an aptitude for music before she could even talk. As a young girl, she would drown out everyone, including the choir, on Sundays at church. Every weekend, she tuned her voice by doing soulful hymns with the congregation and then moved on to opera classes, in which she was classically trained.

A normal childhood was not in the books for Beyonce. At 8 years old, she met LaTavia Robertson while auditioning for a girl musical group and Matthew Knowles, Beyonce’s manager and father, later paired the two with LeToya Luckett. In 1992, cousin Kelly Rowland joined the group, and they performed together on Star Search.
Small gigs and much label-shopping later, the four beauties cemented their relationship by calling themselves Destiny’s Child. Dark Angel’s sudden cancellation turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Alba was able to pursue starring roles in a number of blockbuster films. Up first was Honey, a sexy drama about a hip-hop dancer with dreams of becoming a video choreographer. The film earned nine nominations from the Teen Choice Awards and, just as importantly, showcased Alba’s ability to carry a film all on her own.

JESSICA ALBA HAS A CAREER YEAR IN 2005

By now one of Hollywood’s most promising young actresses, Jessica Alba had a career year in 2005 when she starred in three of the year’s biggest films including Sin City, Fantastic Four and Into the Blue. The three movies grossed a combined $531 million worldwide thanks to their entertaining storylines as well as their expert ability to showcase Alba in an endless variety of revealing outfits. After having to endure a full year without a single Jessica Alba movie, red-blooded men around the planet were rewarded for the patience with five new films in 2007. Up first was 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The eagerly anticipated sequel to Fantastic Four raked in over $288 million worldwide by packing in even more action than it’s high octane predecessor. Alba also enjoyed tremendous box office success that year with the Dane Cook comedy Good Luck Chuck and the spine-tingling thriller Awake. JESSICA ALBA BECOMES A MOTHER

Jessica Alba kept busy in 2008 by starring in the eerie horror flick The Eye and the critically-panned comedy The Love Guru. However, she made her biggest news away from the screen that year when she married up-and-coming producer Cash Warren on May 19. The couple welcomed their first baby, a girl named Honor Marie Warren, one month later on June 7.

Alessandra Ambrosio was born April 11, 1981, in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The eldest of two daughters, she entered the world of modeling at the age of 14 when she won the Elite Look of the Year Contest. Her victory in the prestigious event led to a number of lucrative offers and, within a year, she was selected to appear in the Millennium GUESS campaign along with fellow Brazilian model Ana Beatriz Barros.

The high-profile campaign transformed Alessandra Ambrosio into an overnight sensation, and the world’s biggest designers were soon lining up for the opportunity to have her model their clothing. Future sex symbol Emmanuelle Chriqui kicked things off in the culturally-diverse city of Montreal. With a Moroccan and Jewish background, her own diversity would’ve been a natural fit, but she and her family went to Toronto after two years. It was here that she began acting on stage at 7, and in an effort to pursue her acting dream, she pleaded with her parents to let her take acting classes. Citing financial difficulties, they were unable to accommodate her, but Emmanuelle Chriqui’s older brother footed the bill himself and, at age 10, she landed her first TV gig when she let a cheeseburger dance on her shirt for a McDonald’s commercial. This reinforced her dream of being famous, and soon she would be chasing her personal idols like Madonna, Olivia Newton-John and even her favorite Canadian celebrity, Corey Hart.

After graduating from Unionville High School, she moved to Vancouver where she waited tables and chased acting roles in Hollywood North. In 2001, Emmanuelle Chriqui was cast in Steven Spielberg’s robot opus, Artificial Intelligence: A.I., and Todd Solondz’s Storytelling, but in both cases, her scenes were deleted. She had to settle for Lance Bass instead by playing his love interest in the poorly-received romance On the Line. She recovered her confidence somewhat by running from crazies with Eliza Dushku in the 2003 horror film, Wrong Turn, and returning to television in 2005 for three wildly different projects. First, she appeared on the The O.C.for a multi-episode stint before signing onboard the unique George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh-produced Unscripted where she played herself alongside other “real” actors and a handful of fictional characters.
Following her first two TV projects in 2005, Emmanuelle Chriqui landed what would be her most popular television role as Sloan McQuewick, the sultry on-screen companion of Eric Murphy, onEntourage.
