Some of these women have made their fame fighting other chicks inside the cage. Some made it as ring girls outside of it. But they're all absolute knockouts.
Let's switch
over to the grappling side of the coin with Miesha Tate. The gorgeous
competitor was a member of the boys wrestling team in high school, and
transitioned into MMA starting in 2007. Her Strikeforce debut saw her
beat Elaina Maxwell by decision and she's made an excellent showing in
her fights since, winning a one-night tournament in August to seize the
Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Championship. She was supposed to
defend the belt against Marloes Coenen this year but the bout was
delayed due to a knee injury.
Rachelle Leah
had already kickstarted a modeling career before being hired by the UFC
at the age of eighteen, but the massive exposure of being a ring card
girl for the hottest combat sports promotion on the globe just gave her
the fuel she needed to get things in really high gear. The gorgeous girl
has featured in dozens of magazines and is currently the co-host of the
popular MMAthletics program.
The legendary
Gracie family has been one of the most dominant forces in Brazilian
jiu-jitsu, and by association mixed martial arts, for decades. But it's
not just the dudes in the posse that kick some ass - the gorgeous Kyra
Gracie is a black belt and works as an instructor both in Brazil and the
United States. She's in training to make her MMA debut later this year,
and I pity the poor lady who stands in her way.
Known as "The
Karate Hottie," model and fighter Michelle Waterson looks as good out of
the cage as she does in it. The Thai-American cutie was born and raised
in Colorado, starting martial arts training at the age of ten and
modeling during high school. She's trained in multiple disciplines and
has a memorable appearance on MTV's Bully Beatdown where she
whipped the crap out of a female bully. She recently gave birth to her
first child, so it might be some time before we see her fight again.
Often called the
"Face of Women's MMA," Gina Carano is one of the most well-recognized
fighters in the game today. Born and raised in Texas, she started her
career in Muay Thai, racking up a spectacular record before being asked
to fight in the first legally sanctioned MMA bout in Nevada. She went on
to great success with Strikeforce, winning a number of impressive
victories.
Dutch fighter
Marloes Coenen comes from an ass-kicking family, with her father and
grandfather both practicing the warrior's way, and she is upholding the
family legacy ably. She started training at the age of fourteen and made
her professional debut at nineteen, racking up an impressive eight
straight wins. She currently holds the Strikeforce Women's Welterweight
Title and is whipping all comers.
Kaitlin Young
started fighting at the tender young age of fourteen, earning a black
belt in tae kwon do, and went on to become one of the trailblazers of
women's MMA. She's well-known for her endurance, as shown in her fight
with Gina Carano that only ended after the referee ruled her unable to
continue. She doesn't have the best record as of late, but there's still
plenty of time left in her career.
The gorgeous
Chandella Powell is one of the more recent additions to the UFC's stable
of ring girls, making her debut in January of 2010. She was discovered
by the company while working as a Bunny in the Playboy Club restaurant,
and she's obviously got the body that makes the crowd go wild. Things
are only going to get better for this hottie.
Going back to
the fighter side of the equation with the lovely Michelle Ould. Training
with one of the best in the business in Dan Henderson at Team Quest,
Ould has explored a wide variety of combat sports, starting with
jiu-jitsu and expanding into wrestling as well. She's also the mother of
two sons, which makes her a hot MMA MILF. Is that enough acronyms for
you?
Nicknamed "The Bulldog," we'd sure love to drool over Felice Herrig. The kickboxer first rose to fame on Oxygen's Fight Girls
reality show, where she defeated a Thai women's champion, and since
then she's racked up a very impressive streak of wins against some very
tough competition. I'm sure that only bigger and better opportunities
await her in the future.
Let's start off
with probably the most famous UFC ring girl in the game - the lovely
Arianny Celeste. Born in Las Vegas, the home of the groundbreaking
fighting promotion, she stuck around town until being scouted by the
company to work as a ring card girl in 2006. Her amazing good looks
quickly made her a favorite among the fans, and she rapidly got a ton of
other offers, including posing for Playboy in 2010.
