Uzbekistan through the eyes of a French tourist (1956)


French scientist and historian Jacques Dupâquier has been to the USSR three times during the 1950-70s. After several days in Moscow, the French academician Jacques Dyupake flew to Uzbekistan, in 1956. In general, Jacques Dyupake visited three times in the Soviet Union and visited not only Moscow and Uzbekistan, and the Kuban and the Caucasus.  In 1956 he visited Uzbekistan and took many pictures of this place.22 more images after the break...
