Good news — turns out they’re pretty happy. A recently published study from the Journal of Sex Research (best job ever?) has reported that they found no evidence to support the “Damaged Goods Hypothesis;” a theory which claims that adult film stars commonly come from difficult backgrounds, and have poor self-esteem. Quite the contrary, this new study shows that the 177 adult actresses surveyed had a better body image, quality of life, and were more positive and spiritual than the selected sample of women outside of the industry whom they were compared to.
