Chinese man builds Noah’s Ark for preparing for end of the World
The Doomsday date of December 21, 2012 has people all over the world nervous in anticipation. One man in China has even spent his life savings to build a modern “Noah’s Ark” just in case the devastation includes massive flooding. The ark is designed by Chinese inventor Liu Qiyuan, in Xianghe, Hebei province. Liu, who has spent 1.8 million yuan ($288,000) on building six “Noah’s Ark”s in 8 months with the help of his former furniture factory’s workers, is working on his seventh pod. The 17 cubic-metre volume vessels were built to serve as lifeboats in the event of earthquakes, tsunamis and floods. If there is a world after 21 December the engineer plans to use the boat as a tourist attraction. So, another stop when you are able to visit China.
